This book led to my most improvement. My 5K went from 21:27 to 20:18. I would not buy it though. The principle is simple: once a week run hard. All other runs keep your heart rate below 70% maximum heart rate. Sign this book out of your library (ask for it via interlibrary load if they do not have it).
